September update

We've been keeping busy, and so have the bees! Recently, we harvested a small batch of honey and made our return to Barrow Market, where it all began, to sell our honey alongside our beeswax products.

This year, honey production hasn't been our main focus. We've prioritised expanding our colonies, which has resulted in less honey but allowed us to grow from four colonies in the spring to around ten now. Looking ahead to next year, we'll be launching our queen-rearing program. This will give us a significant advantage in creating more colonies at a faster pace, allowing them to fully develop and produce honey.

Our return to Barrow Market on September 20th was exciting, especially with our own honey in hand! We also continue to be proud distributors of UK honey, currently offering Northumberland Honey. We're thrilled to supply locally sourced honey from the North of the UK, and we plan to expand our website soon to satisfy your honey cravings even more.
As the colder months approach, we'll be attending more markets during the winter and Christmas season, so keep an eye on our social media for updates. We'll also be refreshing our selection of beeswax products on our online shop soon.
As September draws to a close, the bees are preparing for winter, gathering the last resources they can find. After our recent honey extraction, we returned the frames to the bees for cleanup, ensuring nothing goes to waste and giving them a helpful boost before winter sets in.
